FAITH BASED THERAPY


As a believer- your relationship with Jesus is the most important part of your life. It stands to reason that you would want a therapist that will understand how important your Faith is to you- and also know how to integrate it into your treatment planning.


It would also help to know that your therapist has the same beliefs- I will gladly tell all my clients that I am
not the one healing them.


Jesus is. 


I believe that the Holy Spirit is the true cultivator of change. I am an expert in the clinical realm and use my expertise to assist all of my clients. 


As a therapist of Faith, I recognize that although our salvation is instantaneous- our journey and process of becoming more and more like Jesus is just that- a process. 


Depending on the amount of trauma we might have been through in life- some of us need a trained professional to help us walk out our freedom. Walking in Victory is possible- it just takes time, intentionality, and an excellent clinician- which is where I come in.

EMDR


You keep finding yourself feeling “stuck”- repeating the same bad habits or toxic relationship patterns over and over again. You’ve tried self-help books, talking with friends, and even traditional talk-therapy before; but it hasn’t seemed to work.


Being “stuck” is a common sign of unprocessed trauma- and the EMDR protocol is an evidence-based practice that is proven to be the most effective in trauma treatment.


Whether you’ve experienced a Big “T” (unexpected death, an accident, an assault, etc) Trauma or little “t” (romantic betrayal, bullying, etc), EMDR is an effective therapeutic intervention that will assist you in getting through past experiences holding you back from your ideal self.


You may be thinking- “why the heck do I need to do eye movements?”


The eye movements are the same eye movements that happen when we engage in Rapid eye movement (REM) sleep. In EMDR, we use these eye movements to help us engage our brains in revisiting and reprocessing traumatic memories.
